About this position
SoftTeco is seeking an experienced Lead QA Engineer. The project involves supporting and enhancing Automotive Salesforce consultancy. You will work with automotive clients, including OEMs, retailers, leasing companies, and partners, helping them maximize the platform’s benefits through expert guidance and implementation. You will be part of a cross-functional, distributed team of about 50 specialists.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA teams of 5 or more, including vendor or offshore coordination.
- Ensure quality delivery of Salesforce-based products (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Service Cloud).
- Oversee testing for integration-heavy products (CRM integrations, data pipelines, DMS, ERP adapters, or similar).
- Introduce test automation into environments without prior automation.
- Apply AI tooling in QA (test generation, coverage analysis, code migration, test maintenance) and demonstrate measurable results.
- Deliver difficult messages to developers, product owners, vendors, and executive leadership.
- Mentor QA engineers across all levels, coaching teams into AI-assisted workflows.
- Manage vendors: set expectations, review output, handle commercial conversations on scope and capacity.
- Create structure without adding bureaucracy.
- Shift between strategic (30,000 feet) and hands-on work as needed.
- Write, review, and coach automation code using Java, TypeScript, or Python, with AI assistance as standard practice.
- Perform API testing (REST, Postman, automated API suites, integration testing across boundaries).
- Use SQL for validation, test data management, and integrity checks.
- Manage testing via TestRail or equivalent.
Requirements
- 6+ years in software testing and QA.
- At least 2 years in a lead capacity.
- Proven experience leading QA teams of 5 or more, including vendor or offshore coordination.
- Experience delivering quality on Salesforce-based products (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Service Cloud).
- Experience with integration-heavy products (CRM integrations, data pipelines, DMS, ERP adapters, or similar).
- Track record of introducing test automation into environments that previously lacked it.
- Demonstrable practical use of AI tooling in QA (Claude, Copilot, or comparable coding-assistant tools) with concrete, discussable results.
- Working knowledge of Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Apex, Flows, Salesforce data model design, and Salesforce test tooling (Apex tests, UI automation on Lightning).
- Hands-on experience with at least one test automation framework: Playwright, Selenium, Rest Assured, or similar.
- Programming ability in Java, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with API testing (REST, Postman, automated API test suites, integration testing).
- CI/CD experience: GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar.
- SQL proficiency for data validation and management.
- Experience with TestRail or equivalent test management tool.
- Ability to mentor QA engineers across experience levels.
- Vendor management skills.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.
