About this position
SoftTeco is looking for an experienced Senior C Developer to join a long-term cybersecurity project focused on low-level system and data protection solutions. The role requires a mandatory onsite start in Saudi Arabia for 1 month, working closely with the client on kernel-level components, debugging, and system stability. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to security-critical software with deep access to system internals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client teams onsite in KSA during the initial phase.
- Develop and maintain low-level system components in C.
- Design and implement kernel-mode drivers (Windows environment).
- Perform advanced debugging using WinDbg, including crash dump analysis and live system troubleshooting Investigate and resolve system-level issues (BSODs, hangs, memory conflicts).
- Work with hardware interaction, memory management, and concurrency.
- Support build, test, and deployment processes for low-level components.
- Contribute to improving system stability, performance, and security.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in C and systems programming.
- Proven experience with Windows kernel/driver development.
- Deep understanding of IRQL, interrupts, device stacks, memory-mapped I/O.
- Advanced debugging skills using WinDbg.
- Experience troubleshooting low-level system issues in production environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure as Code).
- Experience with Docker and environment reproducibility tools.
- Understanding of system internals and OS architecture.
Non-Technical Skills
- Willingness and ability to start onsite in Saudi Arabia (mandatory).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently in high-responsibility, client-facing environments.
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
- High level of ownership and attention to detail in mission-critical systems.
- Good communication skills in English (B1+).
