About this position
SoftTeco is looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join a dynamic international project focused on providing managed IT outsourcing services (MSP/MSSP).
We are developing a platform that automates and simplifies digital transformation processes for businesses worldwide. As part of this project, your work will play a key role in shaping the data architecture and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on experience, a collaborative mindset, and strong enthusiasm for data engineering in cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes using cutting-edge tools and technologies;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver data solutions that enhance business insights;
- Develop and manage large datasets, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility;
- Optimize data processing workflows for efficiency and performance;
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems, resolving any issues promptly to maintain reliability;
- Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance.
Technical skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Engineering or Mathematics preferred);
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles;
- Extensive experience in data engineering roles,particularly working with large-scale data environments;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and TypeScript;
- Strong experience with data warehouse (DWH) solutions, such as Snowflake or similar;
- Expert knowledge of ETL/ELT tools like Apache Airflow, DBT, or similar;
- Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Snowflake, MongoDB, or similar;
- Experience with streaming platforms like Apache Kafka or Amazon Kinesis;
- Desirable skill: familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
Non-technical skills
- Good spoken and written English;
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing contexts;
- Open-minded self-learner who stays updated on industry trends;
- High level of independence and organization.
Work schedule
- Full-time position;
- Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday. Most of our team members work from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Interview process
- Competency based interview with a Recruiter & Check English (30-45 min);
- Technical interview covering the candidate’s skills with our Hiring Manager and SoftTeco’s Expert (1 hour);
- Client-side interview in English;
- Final HR interview to discuss work conditions and salary.
