About this position

We are looking for an experienced DevOps | Network Engineer with strong expertise in security, cloud solutions, and automation. You’ll work on building scalable services, optimizing network infrastructure, and contributing to security decisions for a high-load, content-rich platform. A successful candidate should be able to work from the office in Krakow, Poland, at least 3 days per week.

The project is aimed at developing and supporting innovative tech solutions for a leading global fast-food chain, which is a market leader in both revenue and number of restaurants (51 locations in Poland). The company is a technology pioneer, automating most of its processes and using digital ordering platforms to enhance user experience.

In 2025, the project focuses on and actively invests in solutions such as online ordering systems, mobile applications, delivery automation including robotic delivery, the use of computer vision for quality control, and custom AI for demand forecasting and service automation.

The main goals of the project include the increase of operational efficiency via the automation of processes, improved interaction between the company and customers, and facilitated decision-making due to advanced data analysis.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain network and security infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Firewalls, SASE, cloud networking, and wireless networks;
Configure IP routing and switching equipment;
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network availability, performance, and effectiveness;
Manage and maintain cloud computing infrastructure, including cloud-based servers, networking, and related services;
Deploy and manage wireless networks to ensure optimal coverage, security, and performance;
Utilize automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform) to streamline network configuration and management;
Work with managed service partner to resolve incidents and service requests in line with established SLAs and procedures.

Technical skills

4+ years of experience implementing and administering complex network and security infrastructures;
Strong proficiency in routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP) theory, along with extensive practical experience in network design and implementation;
Extensive knowledge and strong background in IP technologies, data communication, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and VPN services;
In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.

Preferred additional skills

Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Prisma SASE, SD-WAN, Cisco, Meraki, and Azure cloud network environments;
Experience working with end-user technology and mobility platforms.

Non-technical skills

Confident English communication (Intermediate level or higher);
Participating in an on-call roster;
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation of all incidents and service requests in Jira;
Decision-making skills.

Work schedule

Full-time position;
Hybrid work format: you will be expected to come to the office in Krakow 3 days a week;
Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday. Most of our team members work from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Interview process

Competency-based interview with a Recruiter & English Check (30-45 min);
Technical interview covering the candidate’s skills with a SoftTeco’s Expert (1 hour);
Client-side interview in English;
Final HR interview to discuss work conditions and salary.
