About this position

We invite a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join SoftTeco’s team and work on projects for a group of Scandinavian companies focused on the digitalization and automation of the maritime industry.

The role involves supporting and enhancing the infrastructure of a core client portal and its associated services, ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Build high-quality software and systems for cutting-edge digital maritime industry management, automation, and minimized risk of human error;
Participate in research, design, and implementation of network security solutions to protect sensitive information in Azure. You’ll be able to broaden your skill set in advanced and emerging areas of cybersecurity, including zero-trust networks, software-defined networking, and container security, to support dynamic and immutable cloud infrastructure;
Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management processes;
Test and improve implemented designs;
Develop and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning;
Manage infrastructure and code deployments across all environments;
Monitor key metrics and implement improvements for better performance and cost optimization.

Technical skills

Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a DevOps role
Primary knowledge in:
- Firewalls;
- Reverse proxy;
- Azure networking;
- Infrastructure as Code;
- AKS networking;
Familiarity with some of the following technologies:
- FortiGate;
- BigIP;
- Terraform;
- Ansible;
- TLS Сertificates;
- DevOps pipelines or GitHub Actions;
- Envoy;
General requirements
- Experience managing Kubernetes/Docker clusters;
- Experience with cloud deployment environments such as GCP/AWS/etc.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins;
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration;
- Experience with microservice deployment and REST APIs;
- A strong understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Bash);
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases is desired;
- Commercial experience with Terraform;
- Experience with data center-to-cloud migrations is beneficial;
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and hands-on experience working with it.

Non-technical skills

Fluent written and verbal English (B2-C1);
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills;
Ability to work with a wide variety of open-source technologies;
Adaptability to changing environments.

Work schedule

Full-time position;
Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday. Most of our team members work from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
