About this position

SoftTeco is looking for a hands-on IT Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on various domains and software development within the agile SDLC. This role requires a balance of strong domain knowledge and excellent communication skills, enabling the candidate to act in an internal consulting capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Project planning and execution: coordinate internal and external resources, including IT staff to ensure projects are properly staffed and delivered on time. Develop and drive project plans and resource allocation;
  • Budget and cost management: financial oversight and cost control;
  • Risk management: identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them;
  • Quality assurance and technical feasibility: collaborate with business analysts, developers and business users to conduct testing and ensure systems meet user requirements;
  • Communication and stakeholder management: maintain communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Post-project evaluation: conduct evaluations after project completion;
  • Continuous learning: conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful practices and areas for improvement.

Technical skills

  • 3+ years as an IT Project Manager;
  • Technical Proficiency: сoding and technology knowledge is a significant advantage;
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle: knowledge of SDLC phases, from requirements gathering to deployment;
  • Project management methodologies: Agile/Scrum experience (Waterfall experience is an advantage);
  • Resource allocation: skilled in managing and allocating resources efficiently;
  • Communication and cultural sensitivity: strong cross-cultural competence and proficiency in remote collaboration and communication;
  • Problem-solving and sdaptability;
  • Education and certifications: Technical education; Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are an advantage.

Non-technical skills

  • High attention to details;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding environment;
  • Systematic thinking and the ability to find common ground with colleagues, partners, and customers;
  • Self-confidence, excellent communication skills, flexibility, initiative, perseverance, and responsibility;
  • Ability to multitask and stress resistance;
  • English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Work schedule

  • Full-time position;
  • Work formats available: remote, office, or hybrid (choose based on your preference);
  • Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday. Most of our team members work from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Application Steps

  • Technical interview covering the candidate’s skills with our Hiring Manager and SoftTeco’s Expert (1 hour);
  • Final HR interview to discuss work conditions and salary.
